Le Grand Bouffe – New Years Eve

VERA SJUNNESSON and neuroscientist JULIA UDDÈN greedily engaged in the grotesque, through an obsessive participatory happening using food and sex as narrative. Vera and Julia used a performative entourage to re-appropriate characters and reenacted scenes from John Waters filmic cult classics. Among these scenes was an absurd micro egg economy that was developed through three egg stations where party goers were invited to engage and activate the work. A series of performances took place and a massive spagetti wall was installed featuring projected video of Margaret Thatcher.
